The Martin County Clerk receives many requests for assistance in numerous areas of law. As expected, our Special Services Division, including Domestic Violence lnjunctions, Baker Act and Marchman Act cases, has the highest demand for assistance from self-represented litigants. Currently, over 99Yo of our special services cases include a self-represented litigant. We are also observing an increase of self-represented litigants in the Domestic Relations Division, with over 88 % of the current caseload involving at least one self-represented litigant. ln the small claims and evictions areas, we are well over 94% of the caseload involving a self-represented litigant. The following represents the percentage of cases filed in 2014 that include at least one pro se party:
